About Us
Old Mill Arts was founded by artists and foragers Lucy Lee and Edward C Campbell. The aim of its founders is to create spaces for inquiry into the connection between creativity, spirit and our natural environment. Through Old Mill Arts, Edward and Lucy regularly host creative workshops with the emphasis on making creative materials such as paints, inks, dyes, clays and pigments, alongside the historical and cultural context of creative materials.

A bit about Lucy…
Lucy Lee is a mixed media artist, currently working with materials found in the landscape of her garden and surrounding area. She is working on building techniques and crafts that can be used as tools for connecting to plants, and our inherent human creative impulse. Working as a gardener and forager has encouraged Lucy to inquire about the nature of art making and in particular art materials and now uses them almost entirely in her own creative practice.
A bit about Edward…
Edward has had a lifelong artistic practice exploring various subjects and media. A large part of his creativity includes making his own art materials. These crafts have not only transformed his style over time, but also considerably widened his field of interest which now includes medieval art, historical recipes, alchemy and geometry. Using his own made handcrafted materials has become the main medium in which he works.
