HALF DAY Journeys into Ancient Pigments: The Allure of Blue - at OMA STUDIO 1st Oct

£45.00

Journeys into ancient pigment workshops are a chance to delve, in considerable detail, into one particular colour.

Through a mixture of history and practice, we will ponder upon the emotive response of using and observing certain colours, as well as some of the meanings behind them. On this workshop we will be looking at the colour blue and of what it symbolised in certain ancient cultures. Sometimes referred to as the 'colour of distance' or resembling the heavenly realms, there will be an opportunity to try out various ancient sources of blue and to experience first hand all the variations of this most beguiling of colours.

This workshop will be a mixture of theory and practical application.

Every workshop at Old Mill Arts begins with a hot drink of your choice including specialist coffees, and home baked biscuits. We hope that our workshops are a real treat for yourself or a loved one, as well as a rich learning experience.
